QCI maintains a firewall, locally installed with remote redundancy. This includes all network connections, and restricting connections to untrusted networks. QCI utilizes robust antivirus software.  QCI uses and regularly updates the antivirus software. This means that QCI performs and documents periodic scans, as well as ensuring the software is properly running.

QCI restricts physical access to cardholder data. This includes the use of cameras to monitor who is in sensitive areas of the business or handling certain equipment. QCI regularly changes vendor-supplied default passwords and security settings. This includes encrypted access. QCI uses a third-party for payment processing. This processor encrypts and protects stored cardholder data. This also includes encrypting cardholder data during transmission.  QCI restricts access to cardholder data to a need-to-know basis. This includes data access based on roles, user privileges and control systems.

QCI has developed security systems to protect data and access to data. QCI users each have a unique ID for security measures.  QCI tracks and monitors who accesses networks and cardholder data. This includes an audit trail, with time-stamped tracking tools, and reviewing logs for any suspicious activity. QCI regularly tests systems and processes that have been put in place.
